State Senator Russell, who has already revealed his intentions to introduce legislation calling on Oklahoma to ignore the federal hate crimes bill, has introduced Senate Bill 1257 that seeks to make it legal to use silencers on your guns for the purposes of killing or capturing animals. Sounds to us like it's more of a slippery way for him and his fellow nuts to legally carry around silenced weapons. Silencers aren't generally used to hunt rabbits and deer, unless your huntin' dog is prone to pissing itself around loud noises...they're more likely used to quietly kill people. That would come in handy when you're committing a hate crime.
