Aubrey McClendon and Tom Ward provided over one million dollars to make gay marriage illegal in a number of states, beginning in 2006 via contributions to Americans United To Preserve Marriage. McClendon is CEO of Chesapeake Energy, owner of Pops in Arcadia, and co-owner of the Thunders. Ward is CEO of SandRidge Energy and co-owner of the team.
Hobby Lobby, Mardel, and Hemisphere's are part of the anti-gay Green family. Members of the Green family and executive officers of their company have been linked variously to Harbor House, which modifies the behavior of gay and lesbian youth, and to a Eastern European branch of dominionism whose members throw feces on LGBTs.
