Leader of Oklahoma ‘Patriotic Resistance’ Part of Racketeering

Probe Involving Company Profiting Off Deaths of AIDS Patients

November 4, 2009

Norm Seaberg is an angry man.

The Tecumseh, Oklahoma man currently heads the state chapter of the national organization Patriotic Resistance. That group will be involved in an attempt to disrupt Congress on Thursday and Friday, if a vote over healthcare comes up. Intelligence obtained by Gossip Boy shows that Seaberg, as state director, will likely be leading a resistance group on the steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol tomorrow at 11 AM.

Additionally, he is part of the 9/12 Project founded by recovering alcoholic and drug addict Glenn Beck, a political commentator known for his deteriorating mental state. Beck’s early life involved the mysterious deaths of both his mother and stepbrother that shared the common denominator of his presence. The 9/12 Project claims to represent the beliefs of the Founding Fathers and is one of the driving forces behind the modern tea party movement. A tentacle of that group called ‘We the People of 9/12’ is based in Central Oklahoma and has Seaberg as a leader.

Norm Seaberg, Tecumseh leader; and Matthew Ozment, Shawnee member.

He has a raging mad on against the feds, but what’s the real root of Seaberg’s anger towards the government?

Could it be because they caught the Oklahoma businessman engaging in one of the most disgusting Ponzi schemes ever seen? Is it because the United States Justice Department busted him and his associates exploiting sick and dying AIDS patients and ripping off elderly investors?

It just may be that good ole boy Seaberg is bearing a grudge.

According to federal court documents, “Thomas J. Smith organized Trade Partners, Inc. sometime before 1997. Trade Partners was located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It involved itself in numerous ventures through which it raised money from private investors. Smith was the President of Trade Partners, and was in overall charge of its affairs at all relevant times. He is presently incarcerated in federal prison as a result of his conviction for mail fraud, securities fraud and interstate travel in aid of racketeering related to conduct in which he engaged as President of Trade Partners. Trade Partners went into federal receivership in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.”

Norm Seaberg worked as a sales representative for Smith’s company through his office in Tecumseh, OK, selling viaticals to investors. He is listed as a defendant in an ongoing class action lawsuit filed in federal court in 2006. So far, he has managed to avoid criminal prosecution in the case, but is a “targeted suspect”.  Many of those involved with him are residing in a federal penitentiary now, as authorities have waded through their complicated scheme.

The court documents we’ve obtained define viaticals as “an interest in the benefits or ownership of a life insurance policy, purchased for a price less than the expected death benefit of the policy. They arise when a still-living insured sells his or her policy for cash. The purchaser usually agrees to take over the payment of premiums on the policy after the purchase. Viatical sales companies such as Trade Partners typically purchase all the interest in a particular policy, then divide it up into percentage interests for sale to investors. The insured must die in order for the investor to make any money.”

A great many of the viaticals were insurance policies taken out on the lives of people who were suffering from AIDS or were HIV-positive. The sooner they died, the larger the return to the investors. The abhorrent company banked on AIDS patients dying quickly and, when they did, reaped great profit.

A company called Kelco, where Trade Partners purchased most their viaticals, would have dying AIDS patients purchase small life insurance policies that required no medical examination. In cases where blood tests were to be done the company would substitute the blood sample of a healthy person for the pending policy holder with AIDS. Smith and his colleagues knew what was going on when they purchased the viaticals from Kelco.

Kelco paid the unknowing AIDS victims a fraction of the value of the fraudulent life insurance policies and sold them at a volume discount to Trade Partners, whose reps, like Seaberg, would jack up the price and resale shares to investors. The unwitting investors ended up losing money in the scheme as insurance companies caught on to the racket and notified the Justice Department. Trade Partners’ sales reps were exposed making false claims to investors such as telling them they were buying shares in certificates of deposits, when in reality it was for a portion of the fraudulently obtained insurance policies. Many of the investors were elderly people that Trade Partners found by placing ads in the obituary sections of newspapers.

The various frauds being committed by this group of jackals ended up becoming one huge Ponzi scheme that would inevitably crash, but not before people like Seaberg ran off with their commission checks.

Seaberg currently operates Seaberg Commodities, a commodities brokerage, at 20148 Red Oak Ct in Tecumseh, OK. Also, he is involved in a number of state real estate developments under the company names of Millennium Leasing LLC, Millennium Ozark LLC, Millennium Ozark Ridge LLC, Millennium Eufaula LLC, Millennium Nehemiah LLC, Millennium Miami LLC, Prairie View Affordable Housing Partners LLC, Cimarron Red Oak LLC, Nehemiah Homes Affordable Housing Partners LP, Sycamore Landing Affordable Housing Partners LP, Broadway Ventures LLC, and others. It’s unknown whether fraudulently obtained income aided Seaberg in financing his latest ventures. That’s a matter for the federal courts to determine.

His anger towards the federal government just may be derived from the fact that he was exposed by them participating in a slimeball scheme that only the most extraordinary of immoral filth would be involved in. The federal government stopped Seaberg, Smith, and others from using dying people to rip off elderly people. They put a stop to the blood money helping to enrich Seaberg. It appears that pissed him off too. Former investors are using the federal courts to go after Seaberg’s ill-gotten gains. That has to piss the creep off even more.

Among the local political figures Seaberg supports, or has, are Randy Brogdon, Mary Fallin, Ernest Istook, and Shane Jett. They’re all people who don’t care how dirty the money is. Among his friends are Kevin Calvey, who is running to replace Fallin in Congress. His Facebook shows him as being a huge fan of Sarah Palin.

Seaberg is an OU graduate with a wife and two grown sons. He claims his objective these days is to “save the Republic” – that according to a bio he placed on the John Birch Society forum ‘Oklahoma Crusade for Freedom’.  There he lambasts the government for taking away his God given freedoms and making certain things illegal.

As Norm Seaberg strives to destroy a Nation of Laws that tries to protect the weakest among us from scum like him, much luck to the dying and elderly on his way to save said Republic…or would that be to save his own ass?
