OKC PRIDE BOARD ADDS SLEW OF NEW MEMBERS

At the February 2, 2009 meeting of OKC Pride Inc, several vacant slots in the board were filled by prominent community members interested in advancing this year’s goals for the annual festival and parade celebration.

Added to the board were: Floyd Martin, John Beebe, Sonja Martinez, John Gibbons, Dustin Green, David Smith, and Steve Thompson.

They join current board members Paul Thompson, Latricia Olmstead, Dean Crawford, Guy Peters, Patricia Miller, T J McKinsey, and Miles Thompkins. Also involved are committee chairs Kelly Carter-Scott and Lori Lyons.

The last two meetings of the group have seen historical attendance records with participants displaying a renewed interested in seeing successful Pride activities. The non-profit’s membership roll has expanded and pledges of volunteerism and fundraising are on the rise.
