February 11, 2009 Some
call her the homely Sarah Palin or the Wild Woman of Wyandotte, but
Miki Booth hopes she'll soon be called Congresswoman as she wants to pony up to DC via Oklahoma's District 2, while embarrassing the state on a larger stage. In what is reminiscent of a MAD TV comedy sketch, the rural version of Miss Swan (were she battling a crack addiction) has gone all NRA and is claiming that there Nobama ain't no 'mericun, long time. During the national tea party convention in Nashville last week she became something of a mini-celeb among the attendees for going to the podium and promoting the long-discredited Birther position that President Barack Obama is not an American citizen. Her worn-out conspiracy received wild hoots and hollers in one of the few places she'd be taken seriously.
Set to take on incumbent Democrat Dan Boren, the independent Constitutionalist Conservative has not only challenged him to a debate, but to a gunfight...sorta. We're being serious. She wants the two to compete in a rifle marksmanship contest. In a letter circulating among the tea baggers, she threw down the gauntlet calling Boren pretty much a 2nd Amendment wuss and added, "Our interpretation of the right to bear arms seems to differ in that I
believe the framers of the Constitution armed us in defense of a tyrannical
government. It's good and well that we can hunt and target shoot,
but if you've discussed guns in the context of the Constitution, I must have
missed it. Your record voting 98 percent of the time with your party leads me to
believe you might have not read the Constitution because it appears you are not
guided by it."
She threw in, "I did drop a coyote at about 200 yards a couple of weeks ago, so you can be assured I am qualified to challenge you in a shooting match."

Originally from Hawaii where she was in the hospitality industry, Annie Okie moved with her husband Fred and son Alan to Oklahoma in 1995. As a congressional candidate her pledge to District 2 begins with the 2nd Amendment and ends with Traditional Family Values. I'm quick on the trigger, with targets not much bigger
Than a pinpoint I'm number one;
But my score with a feller
Is lower than a cellar -
Oh, you cain't get a man with a gun!
