WHITE SUPREMICIST CHARLIE MEADOWS CLAIMS “HOMOSEXUAL PREACHER BRINGS ABOMINATION TO STATE CAPITOL”

February 16, 2009

By James Miko

Earlier this evening, while updating this site, we posted the line “No major gay hater headline to start the week, but this is Oklahoma so stick around.”

An hour later that prediction came true, when Charlie Meadows sent out his weekly announcement to his fellow Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee (OCPAC) members.

Meadows, the founder and president of OCPAC, has been having frequent run-ins with the LGBT community and Gossip Boy after we publicly embarrassed him and exposed his racist and homophobic beliefs.

In his latest vitriolic rhetoric, which is titled, “Homosexual Preacher Brings Abomination To State Capitol", he lambasts the Rev. Scott Jones of the UCC Cathedral of Hope for mentioning his partner at the Oklahoma State Capitol last week. Meadows said, “In my opinion, this was just another cleverly planned skirmish by the homosexuals in the culture war. Radical homosexuals are trying to force society to accept their perverted lifestyle as normal, equal or perhaps superior. Then of course, when normal folks disagree with them, or express that their perversion is “sin” in the eye’s of God as well as all Bible believing Christians (the only real Christians), then the homosexuals play the victim role and accuse those in opposition to their agenda as being haters, bigots, intolerant, narrow minded, red necks and on and on and on. Actually, you don’t have to read many of their notes to people who disagree with them to see that they are the ones that have their hearts full of hate for people who refuse to accept their behavior.”

He continued, “I believe that unless the content of Jones’ prayer was that of confession for his sinful behavior regarding homosexuality and an expression of repentance toward God for his rebellion and perversion, then his being there to give the prayer for the day was an abomination. Based on my reading of God’s Word (The Bible) Jones’ belief that he is a man of God and anyone else who try to justify homosexuality as acceptable, they serve a “god of their own making or their imagination.” They are not serving the God of the Bible and they do not have a relationship with the one and only true God.”

Meadows has also taken it upon himself to decide who are the true Christians and who are the fake or weak ones in the legislature. He remarked, “While most, if not all, Republican House members claim a Christian church affiliation, certainly with some it is more of a social relationship rather than Biblical Christianity. Some may think this is not an important issue and wish it would go away so they could deal with “important” business like determining how they will re-distribute other people’s money. Others may have family members or friends who are homosexuals and have decided to compromise God’s Word and the truth on the subject for their emotional attachments. Perhaps they aren’t mature enough in their Christianity to be able to take a stand against sin, yet at the same time be able to express Christian love toward homosexuals, hoping to see them set free from the bondage of homosexuality. Others might not want to be on the receiving end of the intimidation, hatred, and perhaps death threats from the homosexual community by standing up against their agenda. Just 24 hours in the shoes of State Representative Sally Kern would make the cowardly never want to be in that position. I have already seen some of the e-mails sent to the lawmakers who voted no, and believe me the hateful responses are typical.”

Besides going after Rev. Jones, he laments the loss of school board chair by infamous homophobe Kirk Humphreys. In his post the white supremacist decries that blacks voted for a black by stating, “Have minorities become the racists in society and just how alive is class or wealth envy among today’s population?”

This is similar argument by racists, who have lamented President Barack Obama’s election.

In today’s release Meadows nominates Republican representative John Trebilcock for ‘Legislator Whore of the Year’ for the high crime of wanting to give state school teachers a tax credit to reimburse them for purchasing school supplies out of their own pockets.

Last week, Meadows started pitching a book called The Creature from Jekyll Island, which is must reading for white supremacist groups and was addressed by commentary on this website. You can read that here.

On December 29, 2008, we reported that Meadows claimed Gossip Boy was part of the Homosexual Agenda then started quoting scripture in an email he sent out that called for the execution of gays and who he believed would only be seen by those supportive of his views. In that email he stated, “When it comes to homosexuals I believe this is particularly true. Biblically speaking, in Romans the first chapter, starting with verse 18, the Bible describes certain people this way: “they suppress the truth in unrighteousness”... “they exchanged the truth for a lie”... and “they worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator”... Because of that God gave them over to: “degrading passions”... and “a depraved mind”... The final verse of Romans the first chapter ends like this: “and, although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death."

Meadows' OCPAC helped the anti-gay group M.O.M.S distribute homophobic literature against Jim Roth, during his recent race for Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner.

Clearly, Meadows is wanting to harm gays and lesbians in this state, while disguising his hatred as accepted and true Christian belief.

In a column to be published tomorrow, a Gossip Boy writer is calling for the boycott of Italiano’s Restaurant, which hosts Meadows weekly hate meetings and who have been both dismissive and rude to LGBTs trying to address the issue with ownership of the eating establishment.

NOTES

The buffoon that preaches gays should die will be at the next OCPAC meeting: Wednesday, February 18, 12 noon, at Italiano’s, which is located at 4801 N. Lincoln in Oklahoma City. At a recent meeting there OCPAC members trashed the parents of autistic children and told them to leave the state, so no telling who they will be hating on this week.
