VIOLENT BLACK SEPARATIST GROUP WHO CALL FOR
THE EXECUTION OF GAYS NOW IN OKC AND TULSA

The hate in Oklahoma City is getting closer to the Community and this time it isn’t just white fundamentalists gays and lesbians need to watch. Two sects of a black separatist church, who have already committed violent acts on gays in Atlanta, began sitting up operations in Oklahoma in 2007.  They are the literal black version of the Ku Klux Klan and one source is claiming they’ve already begun attacks on the OKC LGBT Community.

In November 2008 leaders with The Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ, Inc. (ICGJC), who are extremist Hebrew Israelites, openly called for the execution of gay men.

In a special intelligence report the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) claims, “Extremist Hebrew Israelites have a long, strange list of enemies. [Which include] homosexuals, who according to extremist Israelites should all be put to death. In December 2006, three gay men who were assaulted inside an Atlanta nightclub identified their attackers as Hebrew Israelites.”

That report also states, ”Since 2000, when the prophecy of a key leader failed to materialize (he predicted Christ would return to Earth at the dawn of the new millennium to wreak bloody vengeance on white people), the rhetoric of extremist Hebrew Israelites sects has been steadily heating up, with increasing talk of an impending apocalypse and God-ordained race war. At the same time, a magnetic young leader, who counts among his disciples the lead singer of a top-selling R&B group, emerged and rapidly expanded a movement that was previously concentrated in black inner-city neighborhoods on the East Coast. There are now extremist Hebrew Israelite churches in cities throughout Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Oregon.”

A description of the Baltimore sect reads as, “Around them, security guards wear black headscarves, black T-shirts and black military-style pants tucked into combat boots. They grip cell phones and billy clubs. On their belts are sheaths and holsters, some empty, others holding blades and guns. The guards flit back and forth across the street, between the parking lot of an apartment complex that police say is notorious for drug-related crimes and a building with covered windows and a bolted front door.”

Gossip Boy has been told by a source, whose name is being withheld, that an Oklahoma City leader of the church, identified only as Ahahayamgabar and two female members of the sect, one of which may be transgendered, could’ve been involved in a January assault on a Tramps bartender and patron. We have talked to some who witnessed the attacks, but there is no indication from those interviews that hate, be it directed towards whites or gays, was behind the perpetrators’ actions. We will be investigating the allegations further and are advising Community members to err on the side of caution and avoid the trio until a point where their motivations are clearer.

This week the SLPC added the OKC and Tulsa sects of the The Israelite Church of God In Jesus Christ, Inc. to the growing number of hate groups blanketing Oklahoma, which now number 19. Prior to this week the SLPC had withheld that distinction for the groups located in Oklahoma. They’ve also included the Oklahoma branch of the Nation of Islam.

Since 2000 the number of hate groups in America has risen by 55 percent.  The SLPC now lists 926 hate groups currently operating in the country.

In Oklahoma City the hate group is located at a store front on 3005 N Classen Blvd, which is very near the route used for Pride activities. The Hebrew Israelites lease the building from Nguyen Hung Quoc, the owner of Classen Food north of the church. Hung Quoc refused to discuss his tenants with this reporter.

For the Tulsa area the extremist church currently uses space at the Rudisill Regional Library at 1520 North Harvard for their activities. Gossip Boy has contacted the main library office for comment as to why they would allow a recognized hate group with a history of violence and desire to kill people to use the public facility. We’re waiting to hear back from library officials.

They’re also recruiting members in Lawton and Langston, but have no formal gathering places for those areas.

On a historical note: Black supremacist and self-proclaimed messiah Yahweh Ben Yahweh, leader of the Nation of Yahweh, was born Hulon Mitchell, Jr. in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He was the son of a poor black Pentecostal preacher. In 1990 he was convicted for conspiracy in more than a dozen murders after federal officers ended a long reign of terror committed on Miami, Florida by a messiah who ordered his worshippers to kill whites and bring back a body part of their victim. Mitchell earned a psychology degree from Phillips University in Enid and later attended the University of Oklahoma. He died in 2007.  His sister is noted soprano Leona Mitchell.
