THE 2010 OKLAHOMA HOMOPHOBE TO WATCH OUT FOR IS...

December 28, 2009 Last December Gossip Boy named Pastor Paul Blair of Reclaim Oklahoma for Christ and the Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond as Oklahoma’s LGBT number one enemy to watch out for in 2009. With few people having heard of him, it was questioned why we gave him the distinction. One year later, no one questions the selection anymore as Blair has become a widely known homophobe and led state and national actions against gays and lesbians.

So keep that in mind as we announce our top foe for 2010, who just so happens to be another person you probably haven’t heard of…yet.

We have selected Dr. Everett Piper, President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, as the person who LGBTs need to be most concerned with in 2010. Piper was one of the first to hop on board for the Manhattan Declaration, which calls on the protection of traditional marriage. Next month, he will be a keynote speaker for the second annual Clouds Over America conference  in OKC co-hosted by Paul Blair of Reclaim Oklahoma and the John Birch Society. There he will be training participants on how to win the culture war, which means how to fight against homosexuals. He displaces Rep. Sally Kern on the panel, who back in January 2009 presented her version of the homosexual agenda during the God, Guns, & Gays gathering.

However, Piper’s most ominous mission for 2010 is bringing together previously disorganized anti-gay groups under one umbrella. That spells trouble.  

The low brows in the state, such as Sally Kern and Paul Blair, have never hooked up with the high brow haters, like say Jim Inhofe and Tom Ward. Piper has come in to bridge the gap. His religious background and recent travels into the Bircher belly appeal to the unibrow types, while his sophistication and status as a university president allows him to chum with the more elite haters. He stands poised to unite the divisions within the homophobic community.   

If Piper is successful with his goals, foot soldiers like Kern and Blair, who are willing to make fools of themselves being the Cotton Mathers of the present, will have their hate-fueled ambitions financed by a significant war chest made possible by shadow paymasters Ward, Aubrey McClendon, and the Green Family – and their usual sugar daddy Ralph Harvey.  Piper will be the one joining the two forces together. 

Ward, CEO of SandRidge Energy, and McClendon, CEO of Chesapeake Energy, have already let it be known how much they despise the idea of gays and lesbians securing rights by donating a combined 1.1 million dollars to Americans United to Preserve Marriage – a group led by notorious homophobe Gary Bauer of the Family Research Council. Many gays and lesbians were quite disappointed when openly gay corporation commission candidate Jim Roth climbed into bed with them and sold out the LGBT Community. Roth, as a then corporation commissioner, was obligated to regulate the companies owned by the likes of Ward, McClendon, and Clay Bennett. Instead, he handed the reins of his campaign over to them by actually making them campaign managers and began providing personal favors, such as offering to act on their behalf with the Seattle LGBT Community during the controversial move of the Seattle Sonics to OKC.  (It’s amazing how many gays trip over each other trying to get into a Thunder basketball game, while its owners are financing LGBT discrimination.)  

Roth’s opponent in the race wasn’t exactly clean either. Dana Murphy, who won the 2008 race, was corrupted by Ralph Harvey of Marlin Oil. Harvey is a huge financier of anti-gay candidates in the state. Different energy executives in Oklahoma were hoping their purchased candidates would win and the people that were supposed to be protecting the state were instead going to be working on behalf of the wolves. 

Now those opposing forces are being networked by Piper, an associate of the far right Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, who is intent on everyone combining forces to oppose gay and lesbian rights. At this point, they have no organized opposition as LGBT “leaders” are too easily bought off in the state or are involved in non-profits that take money from the Community and squander it or lose/steal it, while accomplishing zilch.
